About Us

A Hamburg trading house, focused on information.

FHG Hanseatische Fondshandlung GmbH was founded to bring clarity to a corner of the investment world that is often described in dense, technical language: the secondary market for closed-end fund shares.

Our mission

Explaining, not selling

Closed-end funds, once their subscription window has closed, behave differently from ordinary listed securities. Shares often cannot simply be sold on an exchange, and investors are frequently unsure where to start. We built this platform to answer the questions we heard most often from private investors, family offices and advisors across the Hanseatic region.

We do not open accounts, execute orders or charge fees. Our role is limited to publishing accurate, accessible, editorially independent information, and pointing visitors toward licensed professionals when a decision needs to be made.

What guides us

Three principles behind every page

Editorial independence

Content is prepared by our research desk without sponsorship from fund managers or placement agents.

Plain language

We translate prospectuses, fund documentation and market terminology into language a first-time reader can follow.

No paid services

Nothing on this website is for sale. We do not accept payment for placement, referrals or preferential coverage.
